Dear Colleagues:

On behalf of the organizing committee of Korea Digestive Disease Week 2017, it is our great pleasure to invite you to the first Korea Digestive Disease week (KDDW) at Grand Hilton Seoul Hotel, Seoul, Korea from November 23rd to 25th, 2017. Eight member societies (The Korean Society of Gastroenterology, Korean Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, Korean Association for the Study of the Liver, The Korean Society of Neurogastroenterology and Motility, Korean Pancreatobiliary Association, Korean College of Helicobacter and Upper Gastrointestinal Research, Korean Association for the Study of Intestinal Diseases, Korean Society of Gastrointestinal Cancer) and four associated societies (The Korean Society of Coloproctology, The Korean Association of HBP Surgery, Korean Gastric Cancer Association, The Korean Society of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition) join the historic KDDW 2017.

The inaugural KDDW 2017 comprises a number of comprehensive programs, including clinical and scientific aspects of gastrointestinal disease, liver disease, and pancreatobiliary diseases. Many distinguished foreign guest speakers will present exciting lectures in various topics along with internationally well-known domestic speakers. Several technical sessions including live demonstrations and hands-on-courses on the topics of diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, EUS, ERCP and abdominal ultrasonography are also being prepared.

KDDW 2017 will provide an open forum for exchanging new information and ideas where participants from all over the world can have an opportunity to exchange new developments and recent research results in this field, as well as to promote friendship. We also believe that the KDDW 2017 will be a historic beginning to guide future directions in the field of Gastroenterology and Hepatology in Korea.

Once again, we truly expect your continued cooperation and active participation for the forthcoming KDDW 2017 and hope to see all of you during this exciting academic celebration in Seoul, Korea.
